Well hello there world, time for a new blog and some new adventures.
I’d like to invite you to join me as I undertake what I’ve aptly called “The Fermentation Project”. It’s exactly what it sounds like, I’m going to see if I can figure out the magical world of cooking by microbe (doesn’t that sound yummy?). People were rocking this art way before the ice box was on the scene and the human race is still around so surely I can figure this out.
I’ve got some fermented peach vinegar already jump started, and I’ve got plans for some sauerkraut (take 2 because I was too afraid to try my first batch!), some vinegars, maybe some sourdough starter, and I’m also determined to master homemade Greek yogurt that tastes good and doesn’t empty my wallet.
Along the way I might share some random figure my writers voice while I try not to poison my family at the same time.
